What to Expect

(You can download these forms and bring them with you to save some time). Our receptionist will also be able to help you understand your insurance benefits. Please plan to bring your insurance card, and if you are in possession of any current x-rays or MRI's feel free to bring them too.

Consultation

Next you will have a consultation with Dr. Chad Owen to discuss your health-related concerns, and gather more information about your condition to determine if chiropractic care may be a benefit to you. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

Examination

After a thorough consultation in our office with the doctor, you will have a complete chiropractic examination. This exam will include testing your range of motion, orthopedic, neurologic, muscle, postural, and physical examinations tests to detect any abnormalities that may be affecting or causing your condition. Dr. Chad will gain valuable information regarding your condition so that a better understanding of how chiropractic can help you.

In some cases, we will need to collect more data to more accurately diagnose your condition. Diagnostic studies may include x-rays, MRIs, and other scans.

Report of Findings

Once all the information and examinations have been performed and collected, Dr. Chad Owen will give you a report of findings and share with you his recommendations for treatment and/or wellness program.

You will be given an individualized treatment plan that may include adjustments, physical therapy, strengthening exercises, stretching exercises, diet suggestions, one of our wellness essentials treatments, and/or other lifestyle recommendations.

If you have a condition that requires additonal care with other providers, Dr. Chad Owen will let you know and offer referrals.

Treatment

Patients will generally be provided with their first treatment at the conclusion of the initial appointment if you are ready to start care. This may include spinal adjustments, physical therapies, and/or soft tissue therapies. Most of our patients begin to see results from the very first treatment.

In all, your first visit to our clinic usually last you around 60 minutes.

Follow Up Visits

Your follow up visits are much like the first without the paperwork, consultation, and examination. Once you have checked in and are met by our receptionist and brought back to begin your follow up visit. Dr. Chad will talk to you on how your last adjustment went and if you have any questions they will be answered at this time. You will then receive your treatment and will be given specific instructions on what you can do to help with your condition.

In all, your follow up adjustments will take approximately 15 minutes.

How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
What's your plan to deal with drug-resistant 'super germs'?
Chiropractors have always been concerned with the indiscriminate use of antibiotics, accelerating the mutation of microbes that make "wonder" drugs increasingly ineffective. My strategy? Do everything possible to bolster my immune system through proper diet, rest, exercise, clean air, pure water and an optimally functioning nervous system with regular chiropractic care.
